by Susan Grant on 2018-12-06

Galactic Rules of Engagement:
#1: Enemies must not become lovers.
Welcome to the Borderlands, where rules are meant to be broken . . .

Admiral Brit Bandar is the Coalition's greatest starship commander. The outlaw known as the Scourge of the Borderlands taunted her in a galactic game of cat and mouse for years, but she never caught him. Now they're supposed to make peace and serve together on the same starship? Not so easy to do when your sworn enemy turns out to be the hottest piece you've ever seen.

Warleader Finn Rorkken doesn't care how many medals "Stone-Heart" Bandar has. He's going to show her what it's like to be pursued and caught by a master. Intergalactic peace is on the line, and if she wants his obedience, she'll have to pay his price. Challenge accepted, Admiral.

Based on the retired title Moonstruck, WARLEADER sweeps readers into a galaxy-spanning adventure with action, laughter, and a few tears. Read this epic award-winning space adventure today!

Star Puppy: a Star Series novella

by Susan Grant on 2018-02-22

"Pure yumminess and just as well written - and plain out fun!” --Goodreads

Prince Rornn feels fortunate he can pursue his passions both in the air and on the ground. Being third in line for the throne definitely has its advantages – it allowed him to join the Space Forces as a top-gun starfighter pilot. What he doesn’t expect is to find a woman there who not only competes with him – she completes him. They’re already best friends, so why can’t he convince her that they’d be even better as more?

Trysh joined the Space Forces with the secret hope that her absentee father might notice her accomplishments and acknowledge her. At the top of her game as a starfighter pilot, the last thing she needs is a way too charming prince to get in her way. Trysh learned at a young age what happened when a person lost their heart to someone above their social class – it led to heartbreak. But lately Rornn has her wondering if she wouldn’t mind being proved wrong.

Then they rescue a tiny, starving yipwag pup from an alien world. It turns out that “Puppy” is as good at sniffing out terrorists as she is at helping her two clueless humans figure out that they need each other as much as they do her. Now all Rornn’s got to do is convince Trysh that he's nothing like her father and that she's just the right woman for him...before the terrorists discover their furry little companion.

Things change when Bang-Bang leads Lukas to starpilot Captain Carlynn Riga. The tough war hero learns what it means to surrender…his heart.

Lukas’s struggles with Post Traumatic Stress Disorder, PTSD, threaten to tear the three of them apart, but nothing threatens them more than when Carlynn goes missing on a mission. Praise for Star Puppy and Star Hero:

"Wow!!!! I downloaded the book and started reading, I couldn't stop.... I finished the book in one day. I haven't been so absorbed in a book, the characters, and plot in a long time. I love this book!" --Goodreads (Star Hero)

"This is a sweet tear-jerker involving an alien "street dog" and two lovers dealing with PTSD. It may have an alien setting, but it's very relevant to many couples in the US today. Susan has a great imagination, and you will enjoy her alien world-building. So don't deny yourself this treat.....just make sure you grab the tissues!" --Goodreads (Star Hero)

"Pure yumminess and just as well written - and plain out fun!" --Goodreads (Star Puppy)

“It works great as a standalone and I was immediately invested in these characters and hoping they would get their happy ending. The puppy also plays an important role and was totally adorable. I really enjoyed this story and was sad when it ended.” —Goodreads (Star Puppy)

Star Hero: A Star Series Novella

by Susan Grant on 2017-09-07

In the galactic frontier, a rugged Space Marine is determined to win back the woman he loves.

Space Marine Lieutenant Lukas Frank has a lot in common with a street dog named Bang-Bang; they both started off as scrappy orphans fighting to survive--and beat the odds. Things change when Bang-Bang leads Lukas to starpilot Captain Carlynn Riga. The tough war hero learns what it means to surrender--his heart. Lukas's struggles with Post Traumatic Stress Disorder, PTSD, threaten to tear the three of them apart, but nothing threatens them more than when Carlynn goes missing on a mission. Now the rugged, emotionally scarred Marine and his K-9 partner must find Carlynn and bring her home, or risk losing everything he has finally found worth fighting for.

(Expanded from the novella Stray, originally published in the Pets in Space 1 Anthology)

A note from the Author:
Star Hero is a stand-alone novella in the world of the Star Series. It's not necessary to read this one in series order (it contains no spoilers) but if you would like to know the suggested reading order, Star Hero takes place simultaneously with Star Champion (previously titled The Champion of Barésh) and after The Prince, the Pilot, and the Puppy from Embrace the Romance: Pets in Space 2. I hope you enjoy this latest installment in the Star Series!
